The casino gambling industry in the United States has certainly undergone considerable change over the past few years. Recently, a number of gaming experts have been debating on where the gambling industry is headed towards in the future at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas.

Nevada was on the minds of many of these professionals, most of which were from the gaming background based in Sin City. The subject that was delivered was cautious when looking into advance investment opportunities.

Evidently, the economic downturn has taken a huge toll on many of these gaming companies. The ideas passed around during the week have been serious on lower licensing fees and tax rates. There was also a discussion of ways of how the local governments could get involved.

According to the President and CEO of Isle of Capri Casinos, states cannot have high licensing fees, or high tax rates, and expect for the gaming industry to make major investments in these states.

The others of course were more interested with how to clean up the existing areas where casino gambling exists. Of course, most people were thinking of Atlantic City and Las Vegas betting areas, the two prevalent markets in the US.

The CEO of Boyd Gaming, Keith Smith stated that Atlantic City casino market has a better future but needs some support from the public. The public sector would have to return to the tables in the hope of clearing up parts of Atlantic City.

The other discussions at the Expo also included the state of casino gambling in regions outside of the US. The international market is growing for casino gambling, and the officials spoke of ways to help that expansion happen smoothly. I wonder what you’re views on this issue would be?
