EU Says Drop US Online Casino Ban

The EU (European Union) has asked the United States of America to start complying to global trade agreements and to end the USA’s ban on online casinos, the ban has failed badly. The EU says that the ban on online casinos breaks international trade agreements.

The USA faces legal challenges domestically and abroad, and now with the European Union. EU leaders say they want to be compensated by the World Trade Organization for the unfair trade practices. The US Justice Departments attempt to prevent online gambling has gone array.

The Remote Gaming Association (RGA), a legal board that represents European online casinos, has asked the EU to investigate the USA’s policy regarding international online casino gambling operators doing business in America. According to the RGA, USA gambling businesses like horse racing companies are allowed to operate their business online and overseas, while foreign gambling businesses are not allowed to do business in the US.

The European Union said that they will try to get US President Obama on their side to getting worldwide trade broadened that would help grow the world economy. RGA officials have stated that over $100 billion was lost due to the US laws on gambling and that they will not forget about that. They want compensation.

Who knows what will happen for sure, but it’s a matter of time until the US does change its gambling laws. They need the money as much as everyone else and there is no better resource for getting billions of dollars in tax than from gambling.
