The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) is all set to give the online poker regulations a makeover. The Board recently released the new amendments that have been proposed for regulating online poker. The proposals will follow a step by step process in which the first step will be a series of ‘regulatory workshops’. These workshops will first seek public inputs. Mark Lipparelli, the Chairman of the NGCB expects these workshops to be a rigorous process and the regulations will definitely undergo a good deal of revision. The amendments will mainly consist of adding phrases like ‘interactive gaming systems’ into the existing regulations. Although the NGCB is out on a mission to properly regulate Las Vegas betting in online poker, they have not ruled out the possibility that a US online poker system would allow international liquidity.
